The 1918 historic JC Penney Building and Paramount Theater is being brought back to life in this extraordinary project that will house Clarksdale, Mississippi nonprofit Griot Arts. Shine has partnered with Kudzu Collective and Design Team to facilitate community engagement conversations and completed programming and preliminary design for this project as Griot Arts raises funds for this effort.

Shine has worked with 10 Fitness across the state of Arkansas and into Missouri to develop a brand consistency through design. This downtown renovation project is unique in that it was the first 24-hour location and the design had to be efficient due to footprint constraints.
